About:
Itire is one of the ancient communities in Mushin Local government of Lagos state ruled by a traditional leader, the Onitire of Itire land.

Goal & Opportunity:
The goal of the Ready To Shift (RTS) program is to educate people, especially young people on voter education.

The Ready to SHIFT is a voter education program designed to empower and educate our communities on how to make well-informed choices about those they elect to represent their interests, which is one of the key ways to curb destructive agenda and restore transparent governance.

Impact:
Members  of the community learned the importance of voting during elections. Several participants expressed their dissatisfaction with the current government and stated that they will not vote in the upcoming 2023 elections. SHIFT volunteers, on the other hand, taught members of the community the value of electing credible leaders in order to improve governance. The session was a success because many of the participants are now willing to vote in elections.
